seeking a well-organized, motivated, enthusiastic and personable part-time Administrative Assistant to support its congregation and staff. The Administrative Assistant will report to the President
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing clerical support to clergy, professional staff and lay leadership
Answering and screening phones
Preparing general correspondence, calendar and weekly Shabbat Handout
Reviewing and sorting daily correspondence received by first class mail and email
Maintain filing systems
Prepare monthly/weekly mailings, newsletters and any other communications
Manage weekly yahrzeit list
entering checks, preparing deposits, billing credit cards, creating QuickBooks batches
Assisting in the promotion of events and programs, including creating flyers for such events and program
Corresponding daily with members and staff by regular mail, email and telephone
Any other duties and responsibilities that may be needed

Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks at any time

Must be able to take initiative, problem solve, and be proactive

Demonstrate good judgment
Exercise discretion when appropriate and maintain confidentiality
Experienced in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
Experienced with Google Workspace, including Drive and Calendar
Experience with QuickBooks a plus
Knowledge of ShulCloud and other Jewish/Religious billing/accounting software a plus
Office, Administrative or related experience preferred
Knowledge of Judaism a plus
